Overview
MDConvert respects your privacy. Most of our tools run entirely in your browser — your files and text never leave your device.
Client-Side Processing
The following tools process data 100% in your browser using JavaScript. Nothing is uploaded to any server:
- Markdown to PDF, HTML, DOCX, Slides, Text
- HTML to Markdown
- PDF to Markdown, DOCX to Markdown, CSV to Markdown, JSON to Markdown
- Markdown Editor, Table Generator, Formatter, TOC Generator, Diff
URL to Markdown
The URL to Markdown tool is the one exception. When you enter a URL, our server fetches the web page and passes it straight back to your browser, which extracts the main content using Mozilla Readability and converts it to Markdown. The server does not keep the fetched page. We do not store, log, or cache any of the converted content.
Analytics
MDConvert does not load an analytics script. There is no tracking pixel and no third-party tag on any page.
No Accounts or Personal Data
MDConvert does not require signup or login. We do not collect names, email addresses, or any personal information.
No Cookies
MDConvert does not set any cookies. Your theme preference (light/dark mode) is stored in your browser's localStorage and is never sent to a server.
Third-Party Services
The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages, which serves the pages and runs the URL to Markdown fetch. No other third-party service receives your data.
