Overview

MDConvert respects your privacy. Most of our tools run entirely in your browser — your files and text never leave your device.

Client-Side Processing

The following tools process data 100% in your browser using JavaScript. Nothing is uploaded to any server:

• Markdown to PDF, HTML, DOCX, Slides, Text
• HTML to Markdown
• PDF to Markdown, DOCX to Markdown, CSV to Markdown, JSON to Markdown
• Markdown Editor, Table Generator, Formatter, TOC Generator, Diff

URL to Markdown

The URL to Markdown tool is the one exception. When you enter a URL, our server fetches the web page, extracts the main content using Mozilla Readability, converts it to Markdown, and returns the result. The fetched content is processed in memory and discarded immediately. We do not store, log, or cache any of the converted content.

Analytics

We use Vercel Analytics to count page views. This service collects anonymous, aggregated data — no personal information, no IP addresses, no cookies.

No Accounts or Personal Data

MDConvert does not require signup or login. We do not collect names, email addresses, or any personal information.

No Cookies

MDConvert does not set any cookies. Your theme preference (light/dark mode) is stored in your browser's localStorage and is never sent to a server.

Third-Party Services

We use Vercel for hosting and analytics. No other third-party services receive your data.
